GUSTO PAELLA

GUSTO PAELLA

GUSTO is a catering enterprise specialising in Spanish cuisine and operating mainly at markets, private events, and festivals. We’ve been the go-to paella guys in Cape Town since 2010 and have earned our reputation as the local paella authorities, regularly cooking for the Consul General of Spain at events at his residence.

We have had the privilege of headlining at Cape Town's Old Biscuit Mill Market and, more recently, joined the vibrant scene at the OZCF Market on Cape Town’s Waterfront. In our years of operation, we have appeared all over the country and have been featured in a host of publications including Wallpaper Magazine, Food & Home, and Anthony Bourdain’s CNN series ‘Parts Unknown’. We love cooking, we love serving or customers and we love paella.

We pride ourselves on using the best ingredients and sourcing local and sustainable ingredients wherever possible. This means Spanish paprika in the paella; rope-grown fresh mussels from Saldanha; free-range chicken and local vegetables. You get the idea.

Our signature dish is Spanish paella. We cook it on-site in our huge pans which we imported from Valencia. By now we must have cooked thousands of paellas, attended hundreds of weddings and birthday parties and we look forward to hundreds and thousands more.”
